Servers
Servers are the communities your AI-powered bots monitor and engage with. Community Swarm supports both Discord servers and Telegram groups as managed platforms.
What Are Monitored Servers?
A monitored server is a Discord server or Telegram group that you have connected to your Community Swarm account. Once added, the platform begins tracking activity, collecting analytics, and enabling your userbots to participate in conversations.
Each monitored server shows its status, connected profiles, message counts, and last activity in the dashboard. You can manage channel configuration, toggle monitoring, and assign profiles from the server card.
How Monitoring Works
Community Swarm uses two distinct approaches to monitor and engage with your communities:
Official Bot Monitoring
The official Community Swarm bot is invited to your server or group to passively monitor messages, track member activity, and gather analytics data. The bot requires read permissions on the channels you configure for monitoring. For Discord, this is done through an OAuth authorization flow. For Telegram, the bot needs to be added to the group as an admin.
The monitoring bot is read-only — it does not send messages, react, or modify any server settings. It only observes and collects data that feeds into your Analytics dashboard.
Userbot Engagement
Userbots are the AI-powered accounts configured under your Profiles that actively join and participate in conversations. They use your topics and schedules to generate contextual messages and drive engagement naturally within the community.
Unlike the monitoring bot, userbots appear as regular members to other users. They respond to conversations, initiate discussions based on your topics, and follow the active time windows defined in your schedules.
You must have at least one profile configured before your userbots can engage in a monitored server.
