Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about Community Swarm, answered.

What platforms are supported?

Community Swarm currently supports Discord and Telegram. You can subscribe to a single platform ($500/mo) or both platforms ($800/mo). There are no plans to add additional platforms at this time.

How does AI generate responses?

Community Swarm uses Gemini 2.5 Flash Lite to generate conversational responses. The AI combines your configured conversation topics with real-time channel context to produce natural, relevant messages through your userbot accounts.

The AI adapts its tone and language based on the topic prompt you provide and the surrounding conversation context. The more specific your topic prompts are about desired tone, subject matter, and community norms, the better the AI performs. See Topics for guidance on writing effective prompts.

What are organizations?

An organization is the top-level workspace in Community Swarm. Everything you configure — profiles, servers, topics, schedules, proxies, billing — belongs to an organization. Each organization is isolated, with its own subscription, members, and data.

You can create multiple organizations if you manage separate projects or communities. Invite members with role-based access control (Owner, Admin, Member, Viewer). See Managing Members for details.

How do conversation schedules work?

Schedules are automated campaigns that combine profiles (who), topics (what), servers (where), and timing (when) into a single configuration. You set a frequency (once, every N minutes, hourly, daily, weekly) and an active time window, and the system automatically runs conversations on that cadence.

Schedules replace the concept of “online hours” — instead of just defining when a bot is online, you define complete engagement campaigns. See Creating Schedules for a step-by-step guide.

Is my data secure?

Yes. Community Swarm takes security seriously:

  • Credential encryption — All stored account credentials (Discord tokens, Telegram API keys) are encrypted using AES-256-GCM encryption. Credentials are never stored in plaintext and are only decrypted when the userbot service needs them to connect.
  • Secure infrastructure — The platform uses industry-standard security practices for data transmission and storage.
  • Access control — Role-based access management ensures only authorized users can manage your organization. Four roles (Owner, Admin, Member, Viewer) provide granular permission control.

What happens if a bot gets banned?

Community Swarm includes automatic ban detection for userbot accounts. If a bot is banned from a platform:

  1. The system detects the ban immediately and stops all activity for that account.
  2. The profile status updates to Banned in the dashboard.
  3. You receive a notification (in-app and optionally via email if ban alerts are enabled).
  4. The affected profile is automatically paused to prevent further issues.
  5. You can replace the banned account with new credentials and resume engagement.

Using realistic schedules with varied active windows and natural conversation topics significantly reduces the risk of bans. Avoid aggressive engagement settings and always use proxies to distribute traffic.

Do I need proxies?

Proxies are strongly recommended if you run multiple profiles. Without proxies, all your userbots connect from the same IP address, which is a strong signal of automated behavior.

When you need proxies:

  • Running 2+ profiles — each should have a different IP
  • Targeting platforms with strict anti-bot measures
  • Accounts are getting flagged or banned

When you might skip proxies:

  • Running a single profile for testing
  • Your server infrastructure already provides IP diversity

See Proxies for setup instructions and choosing between rotating and static proxies.

How do I generate analytics reports?

Navigate to Analytics in the dashboard to view live engagement metrics, or go to Reports to generate point-in-time snapshots.

Reports can be generated as daily, weekly, or monthly snapshots for specific servers or your entire organization. Each completed report includes message volume, sentiment analysis, top topics, active channels, and an AI-generated summary. See Reports for full details.

How do I contact support?

You can reach Community Swarm support through:

  • Dashboard — Submit a support ticket directly from the Support page in your dashboard. Create tickets for billing questions, bug reports, feature requests, or general inquiries, and communicate with the team through a message thread.
  • Email — Contact us at hello@communityswarm.com for account or billing inquiries.

Can I use my own AI model?

Custom AI model support is not currently available. All AI-generated responses are powered by Gemini 2.5 Flash Lite, which has been optimized for natural community engagement.

Support for custom models may be considered in a future release. Check the API Reference page for updates on extensibility options.

How many userbots can I run?

The number of userbots depends on your subscription plan. Each plan has limits on the number of profiles you can create and servers you can monitor. Your current usage is displayed on the Billing page. Visit the Profiles documentation for details on setting up and managing userbot accounts.

What cryptocurrencies can I pay with?

Community Swarm accepts cryptocurrency payments through NOWPayments, which supports 200+ cryptocurrencies including BTC, ETH, USDT, USDC, SOL, and more. See the Payments page for full details on the payment flow and supported currencies.
