Reports

Reports are point-in-time analytics snapshots that capture community activity data for a specific period. Unlike the live analytics dashboard, reports are saved documents you can review and compare over time.

Generating a Report

To generate a new report:

  1. Navigate to the Reports page from the dashboard sidebar (under the Analytics group), or click Generate Report from the Analytics page.
  2. Select the report type:
    • Daily — A single day snapshot. Select the date.
    • Weekly — A 7-day period ending on the selected date.
    • Monthly — A full calendar month. Select the month from the dropdown.
  3. Optionally select a server to limit the report to a specific community. Leave as “All Servers” for an organization-wide report.
  4. Click Generate.

The report enters a processing queue and its status updates as it progresses.

Reports analyze data that was already collected by the monitoring bot. They do not trigger new data collection — they process existing data into a structured snapshot.

Report Statuses

StatusDescription
PendingReport is queued for processing
ProcessingReport is actively being generated
CompletedReport is ready to view
FailedReport generation encountered an error

You can only view the contents of a completed report. Pending and processing reports update automatically — no need to refresh.

Viewing Reports

The Reports page shows a table of all generated reports with columns for date, type, server, status, message count, author count, and sentiment score.

Click View on any completed report to open the report detail page, which includes:

Summary Metrics

Four stat cards showing:

  • Total Messages — With a breakdown of bot messages vs community messages
  • Unique Authors — Active community members during the period
  • Average Sentiment — Color-coded score (green positive, red negative)
  • Peak Hour — The hour of day with the highest activity

Sentiment Breakdown

A three-column breakdown showing the percentage of messages classified as positive, neutral, and negative.

AI-Generated Summary

An automatically generated text summary describing the key findings, highlights, and concerns identified in the data.

Highlights and Concerns

Bulleted lists of notable positive trends (highlights) and potential issues (concerns) extracted from the analytics data.

Top Topics

The most discussed conversation topics during the report period.

Active Channels

A ranked list of the top 10 most active channels by message count.

Deleting Reports

Delete individual reports by clicking the trash icon in the actions column, or use bulk selection:

  1. Check the boxes next to the reports you want to delete.
  2. A selection banner appears showing the count of selected reports.
  3. Click Delete Selected to remove them all at once.

Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

Filtering Reports

Use the server dropdown to filter the reports list by a specific server. This helps you find reports for a particular community when you have many saved reports.

Failed reports indicate an error during generation. You can delete them and try generating a new report for the same period.
